2004 ApHC Gelding
Revy is a 2004 Chestnut ApHC Gelding. Erin fell in love with Revy and was the first foal she asked to keep. He is the first horse we ever took to the Appaloosa Worlds where Megan placed 11th in Novice Hunter Under Saddle. In 2009 Revy suffered a severe injury, breaking a bone in his left front leg. To say we were all devastated doesn't even come close. We were told there was a chance he could heal, but it required weeks of standing tied in a corner unable to move or lay down, then more weeks of stall rest and taking things very slowly. Thanks to the wonderful care he received for many weeks at Northview QH from Jay and Melanie Douglas along with Vermont Large Animal Clinic Revy was back in the show ring in 2010. He was back winning blues and even finished his Superior in Hunter In Hand Geldings. 2012 was Erin's first time in 4 yrs now that she had graduated college to devote her time to doing more with Revy. And boy did she, she added trail, western pleasure, western horsemanship and western riding and fences. They were having a stellar year once again with Revy finishing his ROM's in Open Most Colorful and Non Pro Most Colorful. All of these good times came to a sudden halt when Revy coliced on July 26, 2012 he was rushed to VLAC, where he underwent colic surgery on July 27. Once again Erin nearly lost her boy but again he proved how tough he was and pulled through.
Since then Erin and Revy have continued to be an amazing and versatile team. In 2014, 2017 and 2018 they ended the year #1 in the Over Fences ACAAP category each year.
Revy has become a backup horse for many students at JEM Farm. He helped Isabella LaCount to transition into the cantering classes in 2021 and they had a great year. He has carried students from Leadline to Adult in the show ring and has taken care of each one. Revy has continued earning awards including being a ApHC Open and Non Pro Champion. He is quite the character and is a very very special horse here at JEM Farm.
